Yeast & Mold Swab Test Kit | Microbiological Analysis, 25/box

Description

These sterile kits [PN: T-10-406] are used for testing surfaces, even in hard to clean areas.  They consist of a sampler and swab in buffer. The sampler incorporates a plastic tab supporting a filter bonded to an absorbent pad containing a dehydrated nutrient medium.  The filter surface is grid-marked to permit counting of colonies.  Each sampler absorbs 1 ml of sample.

Part of microbiological analysis, the yeast & mold swab test kit is designed for use as swab tests for measuring yeast and mold levels. It enables a fast and easy way to monitor yeast and mold in food and beverages, dental unit water, dialysate, pharmaceuticals, and cosmetics. The buffer units contain neutralizing agents to counteract the adverse effect of any residual chlorine or quarternary ammonium compounds that may be present on surfaces after sanitation.

Analysis Note

• Yeast colonies will appear satiny, opaque, white-colored or may turn green over time.
• Mold colonies appear white, green, or brown/black and filamentous.
• Bacterial colonies may appear but are usually smaller and more glistening and transparent than the yeast colonies.
