m-TGE Broth (2mL Ampoules) | Refrigeration Req., 50/pk

Description

The m-TGE Broth (PN: T-10-404), which stands for Tryptone Glucose Extract Broth is also known as Plate Count Broth or Standard Methods Broth. It is used for the detection and enumeration of total aerobic bacteria using membrane filtration testing, and the medium itself is a nonselective nutrient medium for the determination of bacterial counts.  Since it is a nonselective nutrient medium, the types of bacteria vary and produce a range of different colored and sized colonies.

These are packaged in individual, single-use ampoules that are ready-to-use and help reduce preparation times in quality control laboratories, while also effectively reducing the risk of cross contamination. Each ampoule has 2 mL of medium or broth, and each pack has fifty (50) ampoules.

The product is made in accordance with the American Public Health Association (APHA) formulation.
