Description
This 28mm Hand Chuck Only [PN: T-12-150] is a knurled, comfortable holding device which includes an accurate pair of indicators for bottle opening and closing. Designed for use on the Bench Spring Torque Testers for plastic closures. The units are made to be adjustable to compensate for wear, and are available in multiple sizes.
In order to maintain good cap application and package integrity, plastic beverage closures must be monitored and tested during production. This can be achieved by checking closure removal torque and incremental torque periodically during filling line production with an incremental torque gauge.
Incremental torque is the force, measured in inch-pounds, which is required to rotate the closure clockwise an additional constant distance after it has been applied by the capper. For proper method and torque specifications, please refer to the appropriate closure supplier.
