Description
This listing is for a 1″ Bevel Seat Gasket (PN: T-23-166) that is made of Buna and measures one inch in diameter. The gasket ensures tight joints and leak proof connections with the highly polished gaskets. They hug sanitary fitting surfaces smoothly, allowing for more secured joints and fittings so as to prevent leakage, with a beveled seat for a more secure fit.
The gaskets are made from FDA and USDA approved non-toxic material; therefore, allowing for conditions to remain sanitary no matter where they are used.
Please note that depending on the material, they can only tolerate within a set temperature range. The lifespan of these gaskets can lengthen if they were used within the temperature range. For Buna, it can tolerate a minimum of -60°F to a maximum temperature of 250°F before losing integrity. For Teflon, the temperature range the gasket can tolerate is -40°F to 500°F.
Buna-N (Nitrile) provides superior resistance to petroleum-based oils, fuels, and greases compared to neoprene. Neoprene handles mild oils and fats, but swells or degrades in harsh fuels and heavy oils.
