LabChem Water Hardness Buffer | 32 oz, with Magnesium

Description

This is LabChem’s Water Hardness Buffer [PN: T-10-023] which includes magnesium.  This solution is packaged in a 32 oz bottle, made of plastic.  The shelf life for this solution is 6 months, as long as it is stored properly (that is, away from sunlight in a cool, dry place).  Typically used as part of a water testing kit to stabilize the pH of a solution.

In a solution, a buffer keeps the pH relatively constant by neutralizing any added acid with base and neutralizing any added base with acid. Used to maintain a fairly constant pH. Used to stabilize solution for more accurate/better testing. In order for analysis to work, the pH of the solution tends to need to remain within a certain range throughout the test.
